Scott Doyle visited the USS North Carolina berthed in
Wilmington, NC. The Ship is in very good shape, it was
removed from service in 1947 so it is in true WWII
configuration. Almost all areas of the ship including
bridge, engine room, gun turrets and more are open to the
public, admission is $12 and the tour is self guided so
there is no time limit. I have visited many museum ships
and this is one of the best. If you ever get to the
Wilmington area, this is a must see.
